What the app stores

MiDosis stores, exclusively in your device's internal storage, the data you enter: your medication names, amounts and units, times and schedules, stock, notes, any profiles you create, and the log of doses taken, skipped or missed. Some of this is health data, which is why the app is built so that it never leaves the device.

What we do NOT do

  • We collect no data: nothing is transmitted off your phone.
  • The app does not request the internet permission. You can verify this on its Google Play listing under "App permissions". Without it, the app is technically incapable of sending information to any server, ours or a third party's.
  • There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no email address and no device identifiers.
  • We serve no ads, use no advertising identifier, and include no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDK.
  • We do not sell, share or transfer data to third parties, because we do not hold any.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, insurance, credit or employment assessment.

How it is protected

The app's database is encrypted at rest (SQLCipher) with a key generated on your own device and protected by the Android Keystore. That key cannot be exported and never travels anywhere. The app also disables Google's automatic backup and explicitly excludes the database and the key, so your medical history does not reach Google's cloud either.

Backups and exports you create

The app lets you export a backup (JSON) and your history (CSV). You create these files, you choose where they are saved through the system file picker, and they are written unencrypted, because their purpose is for you to open them or take them to your doctor. From that moment they are yours to look after: keep them somewhere safe. We never receive a copy.

Permissions the app uses and why

  • Notifications: to show your dose reminders. Without it the app cannot alert you.
  • Exact alarms: so the reminder rings at the exact time of the dose, not whenever the system sees fit.
  • Full-screen alert: to show the alarm over the lock screen. If the system does not grant it, the app shows a regular notification instead.
  • Start after reboot: to reschedule your reminders when you turn the phone on, since the system clears all alarms on restart.
  • Vibration: to accompany the alert.

The app does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, shared storage or the list of installed apps.

Your rights

Since the data never leaves your device and we carry out no processing on it, control is entirely yours: you can view, edit or export it from within the app, and delete it completely by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings. Should you still wish to exercise any right under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, write to info@tecniartgalicia.com.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not collect their data.

Changes

If a future version changes this approach (for example by adding optional sync), this page will be updated before that version is published and you will be told inside the app.
